Question about Underworld: Evolution and Underworld Rise of the Lycans?

She could go in the sun because she had sipped on the father's blood. He killed Sonya because he thought mixing the bloodlines was an abomination, he cried because he did love her, but his choices as the leader couldn't be swayed by his personal feelings. I don't know why he didn't turn into a lycan, he obviously could and did to get away. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.....I don't know what she said, I'll have to buy the movie and check it out. What bothered me the most was that the flashback that Michael had about Sonya getting killed, a different girl was used.
