Why do people think everything is evil?

I have seen articles about Disney movies, band Paramore, even Harry Potter all claiming that they are evil. They say stuff like "that is clearly a mark of Satan! They will go to H-E- double hockey sticks. Anyone who reads/watches/listens to that must practice witchcraft!" So why do you think people hate things that obviously aren't evil? Because next I think they will say Winnie the Pooh is evil.
