Reconsidering my major?
Ever since I was 10 years old I've wanted to be a photographer. I was prepared to face the challenges of the industry, so I decided to major in photo. It's my first year of college, and I'm at one of the best schools for photography in the country. It's incredibly challenging, and lately I've been feeling completely inadequate. It's the beginning of the spring quarter, so I'm obviously almost done with the year. I feel burned out creatively, and I just don't think I'm a very good artist anymore. I don't want to switch majors because I hate quitting, and this is something I've been committed to for almost half my life. But is it worth sticking it out if I have no future in it? Another problem is that I don't know what else I could major in. I love art history but my school does not have it as a major. I'm sorry this turned into a rant, but I'm so confused at the moment. Any advice? :(
