If you smoke and you're outside....?

do you take a puff of the cigarette and hold it in your lungs and then exhale when you get in a building or bus? If not, why do you think some smokers do that? It smells so gross and stinks up the whole area around them. It's like we have to smell their disgusting smoke and their disgusting breath at the same time.
